Created as a solo project by singer/songwriter Jack Thornton in 2008, the History Department has gone through various musical and lineup changes. Lately, the band consists of Miles Randall (bass) and Matt Leslie (drums). The three came together in early 2017. With the use of spacey jangly guitars, distorted bass and aggressive drums they have crafted a unique and tantalzing sonic force.
